About The Founder
Meet Yvonne E. Noel, MD

Dr. Yvonne Noel was born in Aruba, West Indies and immigrated to the United States when she was seven years old.  She is a graduate of Hobart and William Smith Colleges.  She obtained her medical degree from Chicago Medical School-Rosalind Franklin University and completed her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology from SUNY Health Science at Brooklyn-Kings County Medical Center, followed by a fellowship in Pelvic Surgery at SUNY Health Science Center at Syracuse.

 

Dr. Noel has lived and practiced in Brooklyn, New York for more than thirty years.  She has taught medical students and residents at SUNY Health Science at Brooklyn and New York Methodist Hospital.  Her areas of special interest have included management of uterine fibroids, menopause, and minimally invasive endoscopic procedures. She currently practices at Boro Park Obstetrics and Gynecology providing a full spectrum of care to women of all ages.

 

Dr. Noel has published in the American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology and has been a member of the North American Menopause Society, the Society of Laparo-endoscopic Surgeons, and a Fellow of the Brooklyn Gynecologic Society.  She has received a Recognition Award from the New York Methodist Hospital Physicians Alumni and was awarded Attending of the Year by the resident staff at New York Methodist Hospital.  She received the Distinguished Health Care Professional Award at the Cable Television Community Achievement Award ceremony.

 

Dr. Noel holds a Master of Arts in Environmental Education Conservation from New York University.  As an environmental advocate and educator, Dr. Noel co-founded El Noel Eco-Center for Integrative Wellness in the Clinton Hill section of Brooklyn which promotes stress management, awareness of unregulated chemicals in personal care products and the use of safer natural and organic ingredients, environmental education, and climate change action.

About The Co-Founder
Monica Noel, MA, CFP, CLA

Ms. Noel received a MA degree in economics from The New School and worked in the banking field for over 25 years, attaining the position of Vice President/Group Financial Controller of a global New York based bank. With a focus on entrepreneurship, she completed studies in Financial Planning and obtained the CFP Certification mark from the Institute of Financial Planning. With this she is able to lecture and counsel in investment, estate, tax, risk and retirement planning. As El Noel became focused on improving community awareness in alternative and complementary medicine, Monica obtained an Associate Degree in Occupational Studies with a focus in Massage Therapy. Adding to her remarkable skill sets, Monica received aesthetics training at the premier Atelier School of Aesthetics in New York City.

El Noel Eco-Center for Integrative Wellness bridges the divide between conventional and alternative healthcare, by providing health and wellness therapeutic massage, aesthetics/healthy skin care services, and sales of clean personal care products, vitamins, non-vitamin supplements and wellness spices.  Located in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn, New York, this family-owned, women-owned business, has been inspired by their African-Caribbean-American roots and lessons learned from previous generations and modern science about herbs, spices, natural skincare, and wellness.
