Pfilates (Pelvic Exercises)
Pfilates is intended for women of all ages to strengthen the pelvic floor and are 24% to 60% more effective than traditional Kegel’s exercise. It includes Pilates and yoga exercises that effectively engage, strengthen, and rehabilitate the pelvic floor muscles. Pelvic organ weakness, urinary and bowel dysfunction and sexual dysfunction is often a fitness issue. Dr. Yvonne Noel, Gynecologist, leads this exercise class, while also presenting a variety of options for preventing or treating loss of lubrication and atrophy of vaginal tissues using vaginal lubricants and moisturizers, low dose vaginal estrogen, non-hormonal pharmaceuticals, dilators, vibrators and pelvic exercise balls.
